The Forged In Courage Podcast

Long conversations with people who have endured real challenges. Veterans, entrepreneurs, first responders, and a few folks who just refused to quit when quitting would’ve been easier.

Real Conversations, Not Sound Bites

This isn’t a show built around clips. Eric sits down with guests and lets each conversation run as long as necessary, without a producer interrupting every four minutes to chase a punchier moment. Most episodes go deep into one person’s story instead of skimming five.

Guests come from the military, business, recruiting, ministry, first-responder communities, and other places where life tends to test people hardest. Some have built companies from nothing. Some have buried friends overseas. Some have walked through health crises that should’ve ended differently. What they share in common is that none of them got where they are without paying for it.

Why Long-Form, Why Now

Most podcasts chase whatever is trending that week. This one doesn’t. The questions stay the same episode after episode, even when the guest changes: What did this cost you? What did you learn that you couldn’t have learned any other way? How did your faith hold up when things actually got hard?

Short clips can get you a reaction. They cannot provide understanding. So the show stays long, the questions stay honest, and the editing stays light enough that you’re hearing the actual person, not a version of them cut down to fit a feed.

The Kind of Guest You Will Hear From

Veterans who came home and had to figure out who they were without the uniform. Entrepreneurs who’ve built something real and are willing to talk about the years when it nearly fell apart. First responders carrying weight most people never see. Authors and pastors thinking seriously about faith in a culture that’s mostly forgotten how. And people who don’t fit neatly into any category but have lived through enough that their story earns the time.

Eric isn’t chasing names for the sake of having a big one on the thumbnail. He’s chasing people with something true to say, whether anyone’s heard of them yet or not.

What You Get Out of Listening

Most listeners say the same thing after a few episodes: they feel like they’ve sat in on a private conversation they would not normally hear. The conversations are honest, occasionally uncomfortable, and never performed.

You’ll walk away more informed about what leadership actually costs. More encouraged that the hard season you’re in isn’t unique to you. And usually a little more challenged than you expected to be, because most of these guests didn’t get interesting by staying comfortable.

Listen However You Already Listen

The show is available on the platforms most people already use. YouTube for the full video conversations, Spotify and Apple Podcasts for audio on the go. Subscribe on whichever one you actually use, and new episodes show up the day they’re released.

Know Someone Who Should Be on the Show?

If you know a veteran, entrepreneur, first responder, or person of faith with a story worth fifty minutes of someone’s time, send them our way. Most of the best episodes started with someone else making the introduction.
